Exhibition title: Palette: Works on paper and canvas

Exhibit Location:  Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center and Visual Arts Gallery, 698 West International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114
Opening Reception:  April 6, 2012, 6-8 PM.  Reception is open to the public.

ELIGIBILITY:
This juried competition is open to all artist 18 years or older Florida residents working in water color and or acrylic mediums.  Compositions based on published material or other artist's work are not considered original and are not eligible.  Paintings executed in a workshop are not eligible. If work is based on a photograph not taken by the artist, to be accepted the entrant must have the permission of the photographer and the photographer must be named.  All submitted work must be executed using either water color pigments/paint or acrylic mediums. 
There is no entry fee or theme for this exhibit or size restriction, however, no nudes, no matter how tastefully done will be accepted.
The exhibitor/curator prefers that all accepted work for this exhibit be hand delivered and picked up by the artist or their representative.  If the artist chooses to ship accepted work rather than hand deliver, the artist is responsible for all cost related to the shipping to and returning of their work.  All work must come framed or gallery wrapped ready for display. 

PRESENTATION:
All work must be framed simply using wood or metal as art dictates.  If submitting more than one piece of art, please keep framing consistent.  No glass allowed in works measuring larger than 24 inches wide or 24 inches in length.  Gallery wrapped work is acceptable.

Title of work

  • A 300 dpi digital full view image of your work. 

  • Please state the size of the work including frame and the.the material used.

  • If the work is for sale, what is the sale price or if not for sale, please indicate with the letters NFS, along with the insurance value.

  • All accepted work is expected to be hand delivered unless otherwise noted by the artist.

  • Please supply a telephone number incase there verbal communication is needed.

  • A 500 word or less artist statement or bio

Note:  The sale price of each work in the exhibit is set by the artist, however Bethune Cookman University will retain 30% of the sale price.  Work that are not for sale with be accepted and insured for the figure listed.

Delivery dates and times will be sent with acceptance e-mail.

By entering submitting work for this exhibit you are giving permission for the curator to use images of your work for the purpose of publicizing this exhibit, and the venue in which it is being held.
